Coffee Shop Gear

As awesome as working from home can be, sometimes I get a little stir crazy and need to work at the nearest coffee shop. Since I know I’m going to be there for quite a few hours, I like bringing with me everything I need to work and if possible mingle a bit. That inspired me to make this roundup of my favorite items to bring with me to work away from home. Read on!

  • I stored all these goodies you see here including my cool laptop case in this gigantic brown tote. I even keep in it a small cardigan just in case it gets cold while I’m hanging out at the coffeeshop or when I leave.
  • As I mentioned in other posts, I get inspired by everything around me, so I need my moleskine notebook for those quick bursts of inspiration that happen while I’m walking to get to the coffee shop.
  • I bring business cards everywhere that way if I’m chatting with someone and they ask about what I do I can give them my card. I like to store them in this stylish purple case for safekeeping inside my purse.
  • My laptop case is a hit wherever I go and a huge conversation piece. People love the fun illustration in the front and the happy colors throughout the case front/back. I made the case at caseable which is this hip, new company based in Brooklyn and Berlin that sells high-quality, fully customizable cases which are hand-crafted from recycled materials! You should definitely check caseable out. I love how easy it was to pick out the artwork for my case and how unique it looks. If you need more info about their cases here are their Facebook and Twitter.
  • I adore my purple sunglasses. They are the perfect pop of color no matter what I wear.
  • Last but not least, I try to bring a few style magazines and tear sheets of my favorite looks for research and inspiration while I’m writing articles for my clients.

Here’s a checklist of other coffee shop gear to pack along in your bag:

  • An extra battery, in case you can’t grab the seat by the outlet
  • Headphones
  • Cable lock
  • Snack
  • Cash and change for tips & the bus
