Meet Ringly, a Fashionable Smart Ring for Women

ringlyI rarely ever get excited for smart tech, but I’m ready to make an exception for Ringly. This smart ring is so gorgeous and efficient that I seriously want one. I also love the name Ringly, can it be any more perfect? It’s nice to see a stylish line of smart jewelry that caters to a woman’s simultaneous need for connectivity and independence. Plus it looks really good! The ring was created by Etsy and eBay Alums with the purpose of keeping you effortlessly connected to the things that matter most.

How does Ringly keep you connected in style?

  • Connect: The Ringly mobile app, which will support iOS and Android, pairs with your ring to ping you when you’re getting a text, call, calendar alert, email, or even notifies you if you leave your phone behind. You can also add notifications from your favorite apps, including: Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, Tumblr, Vine, LinkedIn, Poshmark, Tinder and Uber.
  • Customize: You control how you want to be notified so you can stay connected to what’s important to you. Choose from different vibration patterns and subtle light colors to customize the alert for each type of notification.
  • Accessorize: Ringly is crafted with 18K gold plating and semi-precious stones. Launching with black onyx, rainbow moonstone, pink sapphire, and emerald options, you’ll forget it does anything other than accessorize your favorite outfits.
  • Charge: You can even power your Ringly in style; its ring box is the charger. When you’re running low on battery, simply drop your ring back in its box to charge. Your Ringly will last around three days on one full charge.

Ringly just launched its pre-sales campaign and the company has set a goal to raise $60,000 to fund production of its first batch of rings that will ship in Fall 2014.

The ring will come in three sizes: 6, 7, and 8, and the first 1,000 rings sold on will include a real diamond in the side of the ring (where the notification comes through). Pricing is $145 and will last for a limited time only. The price will go up to $195 once it ships in the fall.
