I hardly share my faves from all the different fashion weeks. I have to write about it in other places and simply feel tired of having to repeat the same content. I have to make an exception for Tsumori Chisato’s Paris Fashion Week collection for fall winter 2015 2016. Her superhero collection transported me into a colorful cartoon wold full of adventures straight out of the designer’s imagination.
Black and white manga prints mingled with the bright colors of the 60s comics, and bring energy and rhythm to a wardrobe of straight and sophisticated shapes. Flames dress the sleeves and some of the tights to evoke superhero costumes completed with sharp shoes.
As a heroine, Tsumori Chisato claims superpowers and stages herself in the boxes of her own comic strip where bubbles and onomatopoeias arise on collars and jacket lapels. The punchy outfits are ideal for a modern woman’s wardrobe.
